Terhune Park--5/2

This past Sunday, I birded Terhune Park for two hours, with great results. I had not expected it to harbor more than a couple migrants, so I was pleasantly surprised! Since the park is located on the river and offers more than one type of habitat, it probably is better for migrant passerines than other places around town. Besides the regular guys, I had:

2 Gray Catbirds
1 Northern Parula
2 Black-and-white Warbler
1 Prairie Warbler
1 American Redstart (heard only)
2 Baltimore Oriole (2 bright, gorgeous males)

Good birding, and on with spring (i.e. migration) fever!
