I just managed to squeeze in one more visit to the Celery Farm in Allendale before migration is totally over. Evidently, there was virtually no migration last night, but I found some nice breeders. The highlight was my lifer Willow Flycatcher, who was singing loudly from the tall phragmites. I was hoping the Acadian Flycatcher that was found yesterday would stick around, but no such luck. I also heard an extremely loud drumming from the woods at the north end of the preserve that could be a PIleated Woodpecker, but I wasn't able to confirm it. Otherwise, the expected nesting birds were present, including:
Warbling Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Cedar Waxwing
Yellow Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Baltimore Oriole
Oh well, I hope I don't get post-migration depression! :)
